My Big, Marissa, and I always said that when the Huskies made it to a bowl game we would be there to experience it and thanks to an end of the season rally the Dawgs were invited to a re-match with Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl. I am so excited that I was able to be there to experience a great Husky victory and spend an incredible time with a dear friend, old acquaintances, some sisters, and a brother.
San Diego was incredible, I have flown in to the city before but have never had the chance to spend any time there. We spent a lot of time in the Gasslamp district and did an epic pub crawl our first night in town that led to trying to jump a fence, using the bathroom in another hotel, and taking a rickshaw home.
If only San Diego had not been so cold it would have been a great tailgate experience. We wandered around the parking lot outside the stadium for hours before the game making friend with husky fans, and visiting tailgates of people that we knew. The game itself was incredible, the huskies played tough the whole time and really showed the huskers and the nation what they were all about. I think that this is the beginning of something incredible for Husky football! Way to go Dawgs and thanks for a great Holiday Bowl experience Marissa! (and Michael)
